Even those jerry cans weren't exactly cheap...$50 or $60 each if I remember right. Can find them for dirt cheap though sometimes online, used surplus ones but they sell quick.

Now you sound like your gonna keep your HC with swing out :p

Actually I wish I could do a swing out but then I won't fit in the garage. Living in a condo its kind of a must to be able to fit in the garage since there is no parking anywhere else that is close.

Hmmm .... trying to decide if i should sell my FrontRunner rack and get Cab and Shell Prinsu rack setup.

I need a rack for the shell but the FrontRunner one is like 800 - 900 and I just don't want to spend that much.

Can't decide on my next tires, I might just drop down to ATs to get better on road qualities.

I’m trying my damnedest to go. Got more work done and issues handled tonight. Just got back from another night drive. 200 more miles to go for the break in on the new gears. Gonna be late night push to get this stupid truck ready for Friday morning. As well as cramming 18+ hours of work in less than 8 hours tomorrow...

Nope. I’m out. No Utah trip for me. Just rolled under the truck to check on things. Gear oil everywhere. Something in the front diff is leaking like hell.

Edit. Found the problem. One of the new axles I put it, is missing this seal. My spare now has to be thrown in the truck before I go now...

Looks like it's coming out along the CV based on where the oil is covering

The break in process from East coast is hokey shit. new gears is pretty much take it easy the first 500 miles, drain and check fluids for any sign of catastrophic destruction. Why the hell don't you have to do it with new trucks and when you get a diff rebuilt from a local shop.

Sounds like precision rifle break in. Shoot 1 clean for first 10 shots, Shoot 5 clean for next X shots, and so on.

For the record I think barrel break-in is a load a crap if you have a quality barrel.

I hear you. If I had the tools and skills to set up the gears myself I probably wouldn't worry about break-in. But I don't so I would probably follow the directions as best as I could to keep the warranty.

agreed. no different then when i shoot after "Break in" anyway... I shoot until the gun is hot a hell and accuracy is affected. then again, cool, clean and repeat. soooo... Show me some real science and I might start to believe it.

Besides all of that, a quality barrel and quality gears have already been heat treated in the manufacturing process. But WTF do i know?
