Assuming you already have a decent welder too
Well the kit is somewhere around 650 shipped to me, quality is there and a ton of people can vouch for the fit up being pretty decent. It’s really a no brainer

To backpeddle just a bit @dtaco06
Fabricating cages, bumpers etc is so very different from what I do. It’s like the difference from driving a semi to driving a smart car, yes your driving but you go about completed different. Some welders can’t fit anything for shit and some fitters can’t lay a decent either

Supposedly the RST guys turned around there at the meet up last year, so I don't feel too bad. :D

Great for 4x. Id get shamed in a prerunner because a cage holds my truck together. First cage is a pain.
Exactly assumed welder and tube notcher.

The funny thing about people going that route, the more people do it and chew up the side of the ledge it'll eventually make it impossible to take the original route.

Tore apart the Prinsu on the old truck today, still have to maybe clean it before the powder coat. Anyone know of a reasonable place for sandblasting and powdercoating?

Doesn't fit the color scheme anymore now that my truck is MGM with the copper rims and red accents. The crossbars I'll leave in their silver anodized state, but the rails and deflector I want to coat before they pit and oxidize too much. I painted my skid plates gold so I'll probably stick with the black-gold-dark grey scheme. So at this rate I'll call it the BatTruck.

Well, I mean, technically I was never "In" since I will be working that weekend too. If I wasn't, I would do a ride along, but alas, my job pays well but doesn't allow for weekend warrioring.

Where the lca attach to the frame, it’s all different from a 6 lug tacoma. Everything else is the same roughly. I still have a full frame. Lots of plating, but still there. The rear is a 62” springs, 6 lug tundra axle, with 16” king smooth body shocks, 4” glass dove tailed out about 3”, and custom bedcage.

The crawler line is actually way easier to take, and it feels safer to. Way back in the day we came across an of state old geezer and his wife who had a badass built Disco that were coming down and had stopped at pucker pass. They were out and walking it to see if they can go down. As we showed up the dude was extremely convinced we had to turn around and he was trying real hard to convince to do so. The dude was pretty much so excited after watching us take the crawler line he was hopping up and down talking so fast that nobody understood him, it was like he turned 30 years younger. And after a few minutes he calmed down he kept saying "I have never seen anything like that". His wife at the very beginning was crabby and didn't speak to any of us, not even eye contact. But after we all got up so she was like "You boys want me to make you sammich's? I have fruit that I can cut up for you".

I even tried the crawler line in the taco and failed miserably, breakover angle is sometimes a bitch in a doublecab with only 35"s.

How long ago was that? And when was the last time you saw Pucker Pass? That was sketchy last September, I have no doubt it's slightly worse now than it was then.

I don't think my truck can't make it, I'm just not comfortable with it. I barely trusted Kyle to spot me up it before, with my driver side rear tire sloped down even worse now, there isn't a person on this planet I trust to spot me through it. If I total my truck I would prefer it be because of my own stupidity, not because of placing trust in a shitty spotter.

that was like back 2007, 2008.

Aint gonna lie. Of all the crazy shit I've done and obstacles encountered, Pucker Pass is the one I hate the most hands down.
