They got some super quick cure RTV if you wanted to drive on it. Ive used Ultra Black and once I'm done ready to drive its dried and Ive always just drove it after no leaks.

The cemetery is on Santa Monica but paramount is on Melrose. Both streets suck balls

Welcome to my life. If you think removing your own is bad. Every time I work on someone’s truck I end up having to remove the skids. Don’t even get me started on assholes like @itaro 3/16’s isn’t enough for him, had to go 1/4”. It’s all good though but I definitely don’t look at skids like I used to.

Yeah .. Got all the skids off and called it a night. Will finish the front diff oil change tomorrow and regular oil change also.

Need to pickup a sledge from harbor freight tomorrow to pound out my IFS.

Started doing that with my skid tonight and the sledgehammer I got at HF today...but after a few hits every dog in the neighborhood started freaking out and it was getting dark so...I'll do it this weekend lol.

On the bright side, removing my IFS skid revealed a spot where it was hitting my frame right near the cam bolt, which explains the 'thunk' I was getting.

Took me an goddamn hour to get my skids back on. The front one is so warped nothing lines up and it’s fouchung my diff now. Gotta get a 1/4” front skid now.

Anything less than 1/4" steel and you may as well just run stock like Alex. 3/16" is for overlanders to take photos of on Instagram and show how well it protects their undercarriage when it's got only got paint scuffed from driving over scrub brush.

"Slightly dented 3/16 skid on a 2nd gen" = "touching the clamshell" = "next hit could crack open the clam shell"

Or in the case of some manufacturers... Installed = touching clamshell
