Well...got the easy part done. Wasn't sure if I'd like the red bordered lights but I kind of dig it.

Do it! Not enough 1st gen Tundra builds. If I didn’t get another Taco that was my 2nd choice.

    I like it

    Whole lotta stuff
Myself and @eccracer104 have taken the plunge and gone 4x4 so it's not an outworldly idea at all. Whether or not the front lot vehicles will go down in price... That's a colossal sized "if" right there.

    I like it. #colormatcheverything

Yeah I was 50/50 on it until I put them on...but I think it works. Black and red, a color love tale as old as time. I draw the line at color matched wheels though...

    Hell yeah! :fistbump:

@Nicklovin you're in a good spot right now, you have a reliable DD, take off all the parts you want to keep, put your truck to stock and sell it. Be patient and drive the Miata around until the right truck comes up. Took me about a month to find mine after I sold my last truck. I do have to say if the right truck pops up jump on it, the good deals move FAST. Do your research, start looking now so you can watch the price fluctuation and be able to quickly identify a good deal so you can work through trucks more quickly.

Yup they do move quick. When I found my truck I called the dealership in San Diego maybe an hour after they put the ad online, they were closing (was ~9pm on a Thursday) so I called in sick to work the next day and was in SD Friday morning when they opened at 8am. By the time I was doing paperwork I saw at least two other guys standing next to my soon-to-be truck taking to a salesman about it.

Haha there was one I liked in LA and when I called the salesman said a father and son were coming to get it the following morning. I couldn’t make it to La in time. Also glad I waited because I like mine better anyways haha

San Diego has so many nice, low mileage Tacomas...I found so many when I was looking. Before I found my 04 I very nearly pulled the trigger on a black 05 regular cab 4x4 in SD, but it sold the day I was getting ready to go look at it in person. Glad that happened though because its hard enough living with an Xtra cab, lol.

Yeah good thing you missed that one! I couldn’t imagine a RC taco. The backseat is required for many a things.

True...but they look so fucking cool, lol. I love regular cabs. But yeah you'd be really limited with one.

Toyota dropped the ball on not offering a manual transmission with the double cab on 1st gens. My 2nd 'must have' after 4WD when I was looking was a manual trans. But they didn't start doing that with double cabs until 05.

Do I look like I'm made of money? :bananadead: lol...someday...but if that were the case I'd go even more old school and build up an '85 or older Toyota truck or 4runner
