I'll take it. If I'm in the mood for real nonsense, I'll hit the Rubicon or something in NorCal. I just need to find some good places for NF/BLM camping that isn't a six hour drive, to be honest. TrailsOffroad and Avenza aren't giving me much help so far.

Woooow buddy calm down... there’s plenty of places that fit what your looking for. But all of those places are way too hot now, and will be until October. But being where you live you are about 2 hrs from any place worth a crap.

Summertime Big Bear is where it’s at in SoCal for decent trails.
Any other time of year you’ve got Johnson valley( ya know where they host King of the Hammers) , Barstow, calico, Mojave reserve , Anza borrego, old dale mining district, and some other mention worthy places.
Any of those places takes a long time to really explore the entirety

    Great news.

Like...95 degrees during the day hot, or 125 degrees during the day hot?

That's really not bad. I just wanna find some folks that wheel and whatnot that know what's worth going to before I get stuck next to hundreds of RVs and college kids littering a "dispersed" area.

More like well over 100 into 120 during the day. Well you’ve come to a good place for meeting folks that like to wheel....especially if your into gnarly fire roads :bananadead:

Basically summertime is pretty limited as far as camping and all that. Just be patient when fall rolls around the options are limitless

So you're saying that no one else is out there, and anyone crazy enough to go out in July would have the area to themselves? Theoretically, of course.

Well Anza borrego was 117 yesterday I think.
Johnson valley which is just east of big bear was 110 or something. JV is the ultimate playground...go fast sections, trails that are too hard for anything but a buggy on 40s and some stuff in between.

During the day yes, but any weekend at night you’ll see some other dedicated wheelers out and about

Fuuuuck no, you won’t catch me out there this time of year unless there’s a weird day with some rain and clouds. I’m rocking a 1st gen T4R with no ac and no top

Now a good run up in the mountains and drop down at night into the desert to camp is a pretty good idea imo

Put it like this. New Years I organized a trip out by Joshua tree, all bLM land where we were though. 3 days, 200 miles of wheeling and we saw 1 other group

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    literally everything is banned here

oh i guess you can still smoke weed but that seems net-zero.
