Sorry to get off topic here. But you guys that run cleghorn, can you access it via ohv from the silverwood side? Or how do you normally get in? Thinking of heading up next weekend with the toys to silverwood and then take a stab at cleghorn, but dont know the trail system layout over there off the 138

yup just Cleghorn and Pilot Rock.

Pilot Rock "X" is the better/more difficult version of the Pilot Rock trail. There's a fork at the beginning and if you go left, you're taking the harder section that meets up with the easier part about halfway down the trail eventually.

It starts to the left of Silverwood Lake and heads off in the direction of Arrowhead though, you can actually take Pilot Rock to the bottom of Arrowhead and then take fire roads up to the top, it's fun to do in the winter when there's snow.

Alright guys need some help with gears. I'm currently on stock 8.4" ring gearing with 33s living with the power loss for now. But when I install my locker figure I might as well do gears at the same time. I've heard that 4.56 gears are fine for 33s but I'm thinking of going 35s when these tires wear down so my question is, are any of you running 4.88s with your 33s and if so how is it? Cuz I'd have to live with that for awhile until my 33s bite the bullet. I know it's been discussed somewhere but figure I'd just ask my local experts.

There's a lot that needs to happen before 35s :sawzall:

Hmm I don't usually drive 80, but often 75. What rpm range does it usually run on the highway? You have the 4.0 as well right?

That's not so bad. What kind of MPG are you getting on the dirty fives?

I probably get around 11-12mpg's manual trans on 35s 4.56. Happy with 4.56 so far.

Youch. I'm getting roughly 17 mpg on my 33s with auto and stock gears... Hmm, I can't decide between the two, 4.56 and 4.88

I think "E" rated, not sure. It's the lighter load range, they are falken wildpeak AT3Ws in 285/75r15. They were noticeably more nimble than my K02s in 33.

E rated is the heavy load range, maybe they're C?

Ahh, yeah then I got that wrong. I don't remember seeing C rated when I bought them. Maybe P rated.

Difference is minimal. Most people say manual 4.56 and autos 4.88s. If it's going to be your daily driver id just get 4.56.

That's the way I'm leaning. It's gonna stay my daily driver for a long time, so as much as I like the torgue from 4.88s for wheeling; the 4.56 might be more livable for the road.

Negative, most dirt it's seen is a gravel road for a short time, but it's time will come soon enough. It's capable now but there's a few things I want to iron out in the rear, and get sliders put on before I take it out. Mostly waiting on my PreRunner to sell right now, that's my mod money/savings currently sitting on the driveway lol.

Got a big freelance gig on Sunday.......but Saturday I'd be down to hit up Cleghorn or Pilot Rock. As of right now I should be free then but I'll know better in the next couple of days.
