I think I'm gonna work too. Don't have to but that overtime money is hard to turn down.

Gonna be too hot anyways...plus I'm picking up an AllPro Expo pack tomorrow night so I might be doing that on Saturday if the weather permits. The Dakars were fun while they lasted (not)

damn yeah it would be good to have help.. I've taken my leafs apart twice now in 2 months, I've got it down but doing it solo definitely takes more time. Leaves me sore as fuck the next few days lol.

Actually yeah the 4th should be good...will have to limit it to just the three of us though as I have a pretty small driveway lol. I have everything needed to do the leafs and brakes but more tools can't hurt, that way we can potentially work on both at the same time.

Ive had mine for 2 years. Whats wrong with yours? I thought you had the additional leaf to support the weight?

I did but it doesn't add much, still sags but not as bad. But they are noisy as fuck and bind up a lot and I can't get them to stay quiet without lubing them almost daily and even then it's still pretty bad. For 1st gens there isn't a medium and heavy duty Dakar option like 2nd gens have...just standard duty. Adding the AAL to mine made them even louder, found out afterwards that it's recommended to put rubber lining between the leaves to keep them quiet. Would rather not deal with it since I found these Expos for a great price. I'll hold on to the Dakars just in case the Expos turn out to be way too stiff for my liking

My Dakars were loud in the beginning. I pressure wash them every couple weeks for a long time now. Havent had an issue in forever. From all Ive read they are pretty much hit or miss on the noise factor.

yeah and in hindsight I should have gotten the greaseable bushings with them, and a greasable front hangar bolt since that's where they make the most noise. I'll give the Expos a shot since I'm getting them for a great deal, but I'm also going to order the greasable bushings this time.

@Mike likes Tacos you didn't have to run axle shims with yours did you? Someone was telling me that's probably why I'm binding up with them, but they don't lift any higher than my previous 3 leaf AALs did so I didn't think that would be the case.

No axle shims. Stuff like that should be added only when you know for sure you need it. I just got the leafs and replacement poly bushing at rear hanger

yeah that's what I thought. These Expos will likely lift me another inch higher since I don't carry 400lbs regularly so I might need shims, but I'll wait and see.

Those leafs are designed for regular weight so don't hold back on it. I would have got expos but they were out of stock when I was ready. Its like 3.5 -4" lift. They got some mean flex to em. We need to get you some 12" rear shocks now!!!

Haha in due time..! yeah the Low Range OR website says that they lift 3" when loaded with 400lbs but up to 4" when unloaded. I have about 250lb regularly with the rack and RTT so it'll probably be 3.5ish
