Yes the ignition is one combined piece, just because accessory works doesn't mean the ignition is working.
I will say... try giving the starter a good whack with a hammer.... I know it sounds stupid, but I had to do that on my old Honda, had the starter replaced, drove it home. Went to start it the next morning and nothing. Had power, just no starter engagement or anything, called the shop and that was their suggestion. I did it apprehensively but it worked and never had another issue.

Ugh. The starter is a nightmare on this car lol my fat ass hands and arms were not taken into consideration when they designed this car. I'll see if I can find one. Fucking pile of crap I could've bought a Camry for how much I've dumped into it by now

I actually think it's a safety lock out issue now. Seems to be that she leans on the wheel to start the car (shes short) and in doing so, partly engages the wheel lock. I just got it to turn over 10 times with no issue. She tried once and I noticed her tactic. God damn midgets. Just another reason I shouldve stayed with that swedish model .

Took Pilot Rock x trail up to Lake Arrowhead today...found a cool side trail toward the end that dumps you up near the lake about 5 minutes from Lake Arrowhead brewery. Not as fun as going up to Big Bear but a lot closer to home and good for a last minute trip.

bad, lol. Rubs front and rear...hitting the fender/pinch weld still up front, I think I'm only rubbing my sliders under extreme locked/stuffed conditions but the fender corners are getting rubbed real bad when turning on just about any incline/decline. And the rear rubs when stuffed, so I'm going to have to start cutting my fenders tonight after work.

yeah that sounds awesome...where is Coyote Flats? I'll look it up

I took the tires off last night and used my dremel to trim back my fender flares and notch the corner of the cab where it's rubbing when stuffed...then folded it back with a hammer. It's much, much better now. Only really rubs still when fully stuffed/turned so I'll probably need to trim a little more.

edit: ahh Coyota Flats is out there near Laurel Lakes...gonna be too far for me right now unfortunately. Gotta make a trip up to Santa Cruz in my truck at the end of the month and I don't want to spend $1000 on gas in a few weeks time if I can help it lol. Next time though...I really want to hit up that area again since I couldn't get too far back in May from the snow that was still up there.

I'm not sure what Coyote Flats is like but I checked out some photos real quick on Google and the scenery looks identical to that of Laurel Lakes so I suspect they're in the same area.

I only got halfway up the trail to Laurel Lakes back in May because the snow was still blocking the path completely once you gained some elevation...but the first half was easily doable in 2wd. Little rough but nothing bad. I've heard it gets harder toward the top but I know that there was a TW group last month that went up there with some 2wd guys so it's not very technical or anything.

Scenery is supposed to be fantastic, I know it was when I was there even though we didn't get to the lakes. We ended up camping at the first campground toward the bottom of the mountain

In the last photo ^^^, you can follow the trail up to where the image gets out of focus and sort of make up where the snow covers the trail...that's about as far as we got that day.
