I mean...it can't be that bad if you go in the Fall/Winter months can it? Definitely didn't need any of that when we did Mojave in December...in April though it was on the verge of getting too hot during the day on one or two of the days.

I'm a weenus when it comes to heat though so I wouldn't go anywhere near either of those places during the summer

 

yeah for desert camping in the winter I'd be more concerned with trying to bring along some heating solutions for the nighttime....fucking Mojave in December was below 15 degrees at night the first night. No matter what you do it's hard to be prepared for that kind of cold when camping.

 

We had perfect Desert weather. Wish I could do it this year. My family rented a beach house in oceanside for thanksgiving weekend. But Ill probably bail that Friday to go hang with @AssBurns in Ocotillo wells

Yep. Ive been once and Steven let me know the parts I saw arent even the best areas. Stoked to get back out there. Bombing down the washes is so fun. LEts do this brah!

 

i'm planning on being out there a lot this winter, got a lot of dirt biking to make up and still gotta check out the mud caves and everything else out that way.

 

Thanksgiving weekend Need to make it out of Moab alive the weekend before though...

 

Problem with Thanksgiving weekend is that it’s packed out there.

@YumaTRD and I did a night run this past Saturday in the washes west of Ocotillo and it was great. Very few people out there but Thanksgiving gets crazy.

 

@dtaco06 told ya I would get it in the dirt eventually. These 5th gens arent too shabby. Got its first pinstripes
