I go with buddies around SB. There are a few cool areas to explore. I'll probably end up at the hot springs later this month, that's just high speed fire roads though. There are some fun fire roads with off shoots with hill climbs and such. Nothing big, but still fun.


Especially this spot. Toughest off roading I've ever done right here below :

 

Is there going to be some northern cali trail exploration? I might be able to talk the lady in to a trip like this.

@MADSTEEZE what locker did you end up going with?

And anyone else have input on which ones to look at? Been browsing for one for weeks and I think.I've just dug myself a hole lol. I would like something push button and avoid air lines, but not ruling it out as it would also be nice to serve double duty to fill up anything.

 

I think best options are air locker from ARB, or swap the axle and get the factory eLocker from toyota.

 

Definitely. Nothing is set in stone but we will be trekking as far from the freeway as often as possible.

I went with ARB. Wanted selectable, and wanted to be set up when I lock the front at some point in the future.

 

Only e-locker option would be a TRD axle swap, they dont sell the e locker separately and it only fits the TRD axles/diffs anyhow. As far as I know ARB is the best viable option for a selectable aftermarket locker. Or ypu cpuld go with a full time one which is much cheaper but kind of squirrely to drive with. Definitley not recommended for a manual trans daily driver.

I think theres an Australian company that makes e lockers too but I'm not sure if they fit our trucks
