We had a 1992 XJ for a few years back around 96-99. The straight 6 is great and it never overheats, even when it doesn't have any coolant in the thing... The pressurized coolant overflow would always rupture and let all the coolant out of it. Sold it to our neighbors, who drove the piss out of it for a few years, then they sold it to our friends who drove it around Arizona for a few years. I believe it was sold as scrap when the rear crank seal blew and killed the engine on the highway. That was around 2010, probably.

Xj you gotta do some research I've done a lot lol the 84 -91 first years of the xj still considered AMC came with first generation 4.0 stilll same as newer ones, different cooling system, u joints on the front axle are smaller.

96 and above I believe are the good years the axles are the same but they improved them. High output 4.0 little things around but in general better drive train.

A good cage ties into the frame. This becomes difficult for the Grand Cherokee but not the old Cherokee

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
SUV with a truck bed stuck on it.

Azusa can be fun. Definitely a good spot to bring lunch. Wheel, chill, and watch monster trucks mash and get stuck in the mud. :mudding:

Okay, so I've gone to Azusa like 6 times this year. Primarily because it's close.

Difficulty level is definitely low. However, there are a few offshoots that I never worked up to trying. It's basically a little 4x4 playground. Some water, some sand, rocks, small hills, and trails. Lots of people wheeling all sorts of 4x4 and AWD vehicles. Stuckage and breakdowns. Monster trucks. I like it best because it provides some great locations for Tacoma glamour shots!

Let me know when you go again. My parents live in the area and I spend weekends either there, Havasu, or my girlfriends house.

Azusa is usually a last ditch option to wheel when I didn't have the "Wheelers Anonymous" support group.

Lately I've had much cooler places to go.

I don't dislike Azusa at all though.

I am between La Verne, Simi Valley, Santa Barbara, Lake Havasu, or Idyllwild every weekend this summer. I don't like SB very much so I try to get away.
