To anyone that is interested, below are the cooresponding frequencies for the GMRS/FRS radios:
    NOTE:
ALL GMRS/FRS radios are the same freq/channel assignment whether it is a Midland, Motorola, etc

    CH Frequency
    08 467.5625
    09 467.5875
    10 467.6125
    11 467.6375
    12 467.6625
    13 467.6875
    14 467.7125

Below is an example picture of what the GMRS/FRS radios typically look like. REMEMBER, the FRS channels are the "free" channels, so-to-speak, and are the above channels that are listed!!! Those channels are STRICTLY FRS channels/frequencies!!! As @moodywizard stated, you should be able to program anyone of these frequencies into the dual band Baofeng radios that most people have!!! So, if you are one of those people that have these radios, your group can program their radios to these frequencies and use them instead. Now, it is a matter of gray area laws that come into play here as far as "legal issues" are concerned. BUT, technically, as far as frequencies are concerned, it is a FRS frequency, minus the wattage!!! It's like a non UL and/or DOT approved device is NOT approved, but when paired/linked/connected to a UL and/or DOT approved device, it is, for all intents and purposes, "approved"!!! VERY LAME!!! But, that is my understanding, LOL!!! Like I said, "it's shi-, but not really shi-, until they say it is shi that it truly is shi-???!!! LMAO!!!

I think for the price this might be a better radio :notsure:
They look kind of small...
T4R seems to use CB more from what I've seen so maybe that's why you're seeing that? :notsure:
    The "weatherman channel" isnmt safe...
You're evil! I like it...
Wouldn't do you any good. The radios have a transmission ID that they send out every time you talk so they'd be able to tell its you. Also the hams and cbs operate on way different ranges
    I knew about it... :anonymous:
Why I hope to never have to ride in your truck again

The test is not easy. I believe the basic test has a huge question sample space. I've taken sample tests, they are hard as shit with random assed questions like how is this antenna better for city use?

Yes, those GMRS frequencies are achievable on the Baofang but they are also only allowed to be used at 0.5 Watts. They are meant for home use like a speaker from your front door to kitchen

@MADSTEEZE warned me of the storm that would come, but all I did was link an Amazon prime day deal to a Ham radio and this is what happened.

LOL!!! @BLKTRUCK Oscar and @dtaco06 Danny call my posts, "Randy's wall"!!! LMAO!!! Bro, I just wish I knew how to make my postings smaller, LMAO!!! Hey, blame it on @Nicklovin Nick as he is the one that tagged me to chime in, LOL!!!

Btw, here are the local "WEATHERMAN" frequencies that are helpful to know as well. Punch these numbers into your radio as well and you should here the NOAA weather constantly being updated through the automated voice! Truly something that is handy to have from time-to-time! My CB doesn't have this feature/option, but my 2m Yaesu mobile does! :D

NOAA radio frequencies (a.k.a. weatherman) to make note of that are handy to have for sure!!!

LOL!!! That was me, most likely, but hey, I was tagged, posted my 2cents... and yes, whether anyone wants to hear it or not, you need to be careful and/or think about the ramifications of doing such "off banding" because you MAY be interrupting Fire services as they do do non-repeater conventional type radio communications as well!!! You can't just pick a frequency and say F'IT!!! Just because your car can do 120+ doesn't mean that you CAN do it as you are putting other peoples lives in danger as well!!! Just a point to think about for sure. Just to let you know, I worked very closely with Fire public safety radio communications either AT the stations themselves or at the dispatch centers. Possibly disrupting, for example, Long Beach Fire Sta# 16 (airport station) operations can be a VERY SERIOUS thing because of obvious aviation activity. The possibility of disrupting is unlikely, but my point being just the fact of that being a possibility for annnnnnnnywhere of doing such off banding activity!!! Again, just my 2cents on the matter and I was pretty much tagged as such. Other than that, obviously I can't stop anyone from doing it other than just give deeper thoughts to think about when doing things like that. Finally, I don't necessarily agree with ALL of the laws as some are just complete BS, but things that I do know, as far as radio communications, there are reasons for the certain laws for such activity!!!

with ALL that said, Happy Wheel'n either way people and just be safe out there!!!:fistbump::mudding:
