Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Is it actual metal? The flare/outside part is plastic, or do you mean UNDER the area where the mudflaps would "rivet" onto the flares? I cut mine so the pinch weld is exposed about half way up the inner splashguard/plastic and cut the entire inner portion of the fender flare plastics down as well.

I do have a lip of metal in there that could possibly get hit but I know my pinch weld takes more contact at speed than that thing does.

Yeah, like I said.. I think I need a second set of eyes. :boink:

I'd rather free up as much clearance as possible before finding out the hard way.

If you need something more than a utility knife I suggest a Dremel.

Really? Seems like those tiny cutting discs would just keep breaking.

I guess I don't have a ton of dremel experience to speak from.:notsure:

    They're pretty tough little bastards.

But as with anything similar to an angry hand grenade you're holding within 5' of your face: safety equipment sure makes the experience better!

Mine is probably a little different cause I'm 2nd Gen. Only a little pinch weld rub now. But I'm gonna hammer that shit out sometime. Trimming came out clean IMO

The top half I did with the razor knife. The bottom section was being a bitch so I blue taped it and dremeled.

@MADSTEEZE if you use a dremel, for the love of god tape it. It will be so ugly if you don't.
