    Should say in the instructions how long you can run and how many minutes to let it cool down. I know Vlair provides that

    I have a local garage you are welcome to use. I can learn the DIY on the Trans from you to do a drain and fill, as I need to do it on mine as well.

    Hey any of you go to Idyllwild? My GF and I want to go camp and explore. Looking for scenic fire roads and a cool spot to camp if anybody has advice.

    I was thinking of planning a camping & mild wheeling trip sometime soon. There is a very large group site on Black Mountain that I was going to reserve. Either way, there are a few yellow post camp sites on Black Mountain as well as some in Bee Canyon. Both super mellow trails!

    Thanks @lotuscupcar! I'll take you up on that, Amazon just notified today that my gear oil shipped so I'm hoping it'll be in by the weekend, if not I may have to wait until next week. I have a 5 speed so it's a little different than the auto Prerunner but they are both pretty easy to DIY from what I gather. If you can get some of the proper fluid for the Prerunner trans I'd be happy to help with yours as well. I'll let you know what day works best when I get my shipment in thanks!

    Thanks. Do you have a link to a map of the area? I've been trying to find one. Been going up for my whole life but never hit a fire road. My G parents have a home up there.

    Next week works for me

    @eon_blue

    I don't know if I have the 2.4L or the 2.7L. Any ideas how to figure that out? Given its a 2wd, just rear diff fluid for me and trans correct? It says Dexron III in manual.

    Ok cool! I'll stay in touch.

    If it's a Prerunner it's the 2.7l 4cyl, the 2.4l was the smaller 4 banger for the 5 luggers

    This is a pretty good one, this is just Black Mountain. It has great fucking views once you get to the top. Dark Canyon is also a really beautiful campground. theres a small dirt trail that just leads to some residential ( dead end of the road 4S02). But again, nice views & for exploring around ( hiking trails up there) There is also Bee Canyon trail which you can take from the 74 up to Idyllwild. The entrance is just past the fire station

    Also theres:

    this is a fun trail with a water crossing

    Hope this helps!

    Wow thanks! How long is that last one? Also are these safe to do alone for the most part? Don't have another rig to pull me out haha.

    Well you're 4x so you'll be fine. But I never wheel alone and don't always advise it. Either way... Bee canyon can take about 1.5-2 hours if you stop to take pics or play at the water crossing
