You can use a straight Allen T handle with the Allen close in size to the holes on the King shock collar, or King sells a T handle one, or they have me a straight one. Pretty much looks like a straight rose tapered at one end that fits into the shock.

Most of the time you can adjust on the truck itself (front should be jacked off the ground) unless there's too much crap in the way for the tool to turn it.

I dont think you can adjust with the straight tool once installed. Cause the resivoir hose gets in the way. The t handle with the angle tip makes it way easier. Anyways thats what I read a while back.

I've only adjusted them last night to where I thought they needed to be, after driving today we'll see where they settle tonight if I need to crank them a tad more, waiting on alignment until I get them where I want them. Or unless I can find a place with some kind of a warrenty

Don't I actually need the spanner wrench or just their T=handle?

i want to move the top coil nut lower, to show more thread, to raise the front end a little. I was told the most you want is about 8 threads showing..

Spanner wrench is nice to use when the coil is off the truck, there won't be enough room for adjustments with that specific wrench in your case. The extended T handle is the way to go

Anybody want to be a pal and give me a rundown of how exactly the clickers on shocks work? I've messed with mine a bit and don't notice much difference. I think if I understood what was happening when I turn the dial it would help.

    I know. I'm an idiot.

    Thanks!

I hear ADS is really good. You really cant go wrong with King, Fox, Icon, or ADS. All very well known and have great reviews.

I dont know exactly. Im sure youll find a good thread if you google it.

From research I've done it seems like the adjusters are really only for fine tuning. If your looking for more of a durastic change on the shock, then different shim setup is necessary.

Filthy motorsports has a great YouTube video explaining how it all works.

Basically the resi has its own shim stack and by adjusting the knob "stiffer" it's harder for the shock oil to work its way through the piston in the resi making the shock itself stiffer.

If you were to adjust the knob on the resi softer, the oil can more easily go through the piston in the resi making the shock compress faster an therefore be "smoother"

Hope that little explanation helped allitle:notsure:

Only thing about icons is I know some people were having issues with cracking, I'm pretty sure icon worked it out though image.jpg saw it on a older tacomaworld thread
