I was just at Chaparral Motorsports. Cleghorn seems to be ablaze.

Dang, between this fire and the Pilot Rock one last week it sounds like the whole Cleghorn region is going to be iffy for awhile.

I read an article on the Pilot Rock fire this morning and they said they were investigating what started it, and they were leaning in the direction of a car spark possibly from an off-highway vehicle. Hoping that's not the case as it might lead to more restrictions in the area or it getting closed indefinitely.

I thought it was already confirmed that a Razor started the fire. I've even seen a photo of the burned out carcass of what's left

Just poked around the ol interwebs, it hasn't been confirmed to start the fire but it sounds like it's their best lead to a cause

Sadly a lot of off road people camp out off to the side of the trails we all like to enjoy. They ignore fire restrictions and then fires errupt. This may not be the exact case for the pilot rock (RAZR the cause) but it happens. The big sur fire started from an illegal camp fire. Just a few knucklehead's ruining it for the rest.

Another fire broke out today around 11am a little ways from the pilot fire. It's on the cajon pass where the 215 and 15 meet. Getting a ton of detour traffic coming up through big bear today as they closed the 15.

I was thinking of those scooters, figured they made motorized ones or something.
