Blue cut fire doubled in size overnight to 30k acres and still 0% contained. Likely to be ths worst fire we see this year. Historic Summit Inn burned down as well as the cheveron and McDonald's by cleghorn, 83k people mandatory evacuated, people have passed away, and unknown amount of homes lost. Damn shame.

Wow, I had no idea it had gotten so much worse overnight :( That really is sad. Crazy to think we were just there a couple weeks ago and now most of it is burning away.

Several years ago there was a huge fire in the mountains surrounding the Santa Clarita valley that burned down numerous homes, several in my parent's neighborhood where I grew up. I remember watching helplessly as huge, flaming embers were falling from the sky and landing on people's houses and cars. Fortunately my parent's place was okay, but many homes in the area were lost. Really sad to see.

Oh man, that's wild. Thanks for sharing. Glad your parents home made it and I sure do feel for those that lost their homes. We have fire insurance and that helps but losing everything I know has got to be a lonely place to be.

This Blue Cut Fire area is a lot like the Santa Clarita valley - super windy and just atomizes fires making things worse. I'm all about natural and controlled fires as they stimulate growth and help keep diseased vegetation down but when homes and lives are being lost it's a terrible thing.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
My lady is stranded down here yet again. Ugh talk a real mess...

That's why she isn't bothering. She works in Ontario now and lives in Apple Valley. Going up there would be a MAJOR set back tomorrow morning.

Most don't help your angles and usually starve the differential for oil by tilting it.

Yes. If you have it in your possession immediately throw that garbage in a lake. All its gonna do is pivot your diff, give you no serious cv angle assistance, and when, not if, - when you hit the right terrain your oil pan is going to climb into bed with your cross member.

So I'll take it as the majority of you guys dont use the diff drop kit, and I should be good without it?

Affirmative. If anything throw the carrier bearing drop in to keep your drive shaft level at ride height and down the line i typically suggest swapping your cv axel needle bearing with the ECGS clamshell bushing on the driver's side. It's much easier to do when you have your front end driver side suspension apart. However, no rush. Should you feel vibration in the future on your front driver's side then look to the factory needle bearing as the culprit if you see nothing wrong upon a visual inspection.

He's gonna be running Icon 1.5 aal without overload so I don't think he needs the carrier bearing drop. Hooked Lester up with my TRD Baja Suspension so hopefully hes out rollin with us soon.

Oh, cool. Hope to see ya out there soon. I'm not sure the need or no need for the carrier bearing drop with an aal since I went straight to the OME leaf pack but Mike knows his stuff so I'm sure you're good. Respek!

I'm going to have to second this.... I put on the differential drop kit, hit some trails, destroyed my stock skid, and noticed that because I dropped the differential mounts, they chopped right through the skid. Serious exposure now. I actually forgot I was planning to remove the drop kit until I saw you guys posting this.
