Could try find a wrecked rear end off a taco and swap it in?

Do a 4x4 swap while you're at it.

Hello everyone, pretty new to TW and want to introduce myself. My name is Kevin, I live in Pasadena, and recently just finished lifting my 2015 4x4 taco! My truck's been a street queen but she's ready to get dirty and I'm ready to get my feet dusty! Luckily, I stumbled across this thread as it seems to be where it's at! Only thing is, i've never been off-roading and need to learn the ins and outs. I definitely want to tag along but afraid I might hold you guys up or for worse, damage my truck! I know offroading takes a beating but that's what our trucks are made for right? So, I'd gladly like to join you guys if you guys are open for a beginner to tag along and perhaps help show me the ins and outs!


Also, do you guys think I need to do anything else to my truck for off-roading? I plan on doing a CMC cause my driver side rubs in reverse at 3/4 rotation and for more clearance when I take it off-road. Do i need longer brake lines for the front/rear? I plan on sliders in the near future as well. Please let me know, thank you!

Welcome man. Don't worry about being new to the dirt, everyone here is awesome. Looks like you've got a good setup there and will be able to handle just fine. Take her slow and easy. Some of these guys are nuts and you just gotta tell em no! There's usually something going on every weekend. Myself and a few others have been grabbing beers once a week that you're welcome to join in for as well. Just keep an eye out in here

Truck looks good! You're amongst good people, there's always someone to lend a hand when you need help. On the trail we all cruise for the most part, no worries if you want to take some sections slow to learn

Yeah I hear ya. Unfortunately funds aren't unlimited for me so I'll have to piece it together little by little. So I'm looking to do the rear locker then maybe in a year or so I'm gonna go 4x4 and V6 swap
