I will eventually, its on the long term plan list. Undecided if I'll get one fabbed up or find a donor hood from a 3rd gen 4runner with a hood scoop. Either way I think the extra airflow will help keep the supercharger cool especially when wheeling.

As Deny said. No good reason why the exhaust comes factory with the pipe lower than the xfer case. There's several ways to do the reroute. It's not a bad idea to have the skid first and take it with you to the shop if they haven't done a skid like yours before. I will say this, drilling through the frame to install the xfer skid is a pain in the ass. Use a powerful drill bit, a couple pilot bits, a press if you have one, and plenty of patience.

If it's anything like 2nd gen scoops remember the geometry sucks. The scoop opening is in a low pressure spot and doesn't actually allow for any real air intake. It's too far back on the hood with the hump/curve to do any good.

What are the trails you are referencing? There is a lot to do in Anza with a stock rig. If you have the cash before going, grab an IFS skid from one of the fabricators on here. That is the only thing I saw people ding on the easy trails. Even with a stock rig it should be fine on some.

I've taken my stock long bed just about everywhere in anza including up blow sand. Now I have suspension so only thing that's changed is I have speed on my side. You'll be fine just don't stop until your on a faidly hard down hill area and you won't have a problem

Installed/modified my paranoid switch panel to fit my scan gauge II and still have room for my locker switch. Just gotta figure out what to put behind or stuff on the sides of the sg2 to fill the remaining gap. Any ideas?

Updated* the ol put a sticker over it should do for now lol

I didn't want to buy the 4 cylinder plate and then go have some shop try to fab it all up. I'll just keep the stock pipe where it is. Truck is still less than a year old and I am having warranty work being done to it right now. Don't want to start chopping and have Toyota blame something on it.

What do you mean drill? I thought these were all bolt on? The RCI transfer brace looks like it bolts to factory holes ??? NO?????

Right on. I totally respect your choice to take your build at your pace. I just ran out and took a look and I don't really see any factory holes to strap in your xfer skid. Unless they bring your skid flange all the back to the cross member that's over your carrier bearing. I have a 15 though so could be different. Here's how my Pelfrey bolts in. 3 bolts attach it to my mid and 2 in the frame

The Pelfreybuilt is totally different. The RCI goes to the cross member and sits under the transmission skid. The rear has a large brace that sits on the frame. Here is a picture. That Pelfreybuilt with the Cross over pipe looks like a joke

Hmm, might be better to fab my own then (aka have someone that knows wtf they are doing do it for me lol).

Got my exhaust fixed this morning, @Thesandaddict I went to that shop you recommended locally. Cool guy, he welded a patch over the hole that broke off and put a new bracket on. Talked to him about rerouting the exhaust later down the line and he was game, going to talk to him about it more when I have the funds to spare to get that done.

Apparently the previous weld broke because the hinge was hitting against my leaf springs. After I got my lift put on several weeks ago, the hinge moved a lot closer to the leaf pack and it kept hitting against it when I was wheeling, was just a matter of time before it broke off. The new hinge he welded on clears the leafs with plenty of room, but it looks more exposed to getting hit by rocks and such so I'll have to move the rerouting mod up toward the top of my to-do list.

I lucked out on the all pro skid. Bolts right on. No cutting or drilling. Very well made. I'm not even a little bit worried about the transfer now. I did not do the exhaust reroute. Could easily do it down the road if I feel its needed.
