Word. Great points. My idea was after a long trail run I'd just use the pax to fuel up instead of hitting the petrol station.

Gosh dammit rotpax are expensive. After the pax and the securing mechanisms plus replacing the bs spout they come with (screw you California) I'm in a couple million dollars for a few measily drops of gas. I mean 80 duckets for 3 gallons of gas? 100 dollars for 4 more gallons plus 30-50 bucks per pax lox? Dammit. I'm considering having my pax mount on the gate fabbed into a Jerry can mount and going Jerry cans. But I'm sure I won't and pony up the cash for the rotopax. Haha

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Well and keep in mind there's a lot of mixed reviews about Jerry cans and the possibility to get slapped with a fatty fine for it. 'Member that fancy fucking spout that causes you to spill all over your fender?

    IT'S LOW EMISSIONS

That's the one that comes with the rotopax. Easily taken care of with the sold separately spout. My review with Jerry cans is good enough for Rambo good enough for me. Haha. I'll look into it further as it comes time. Definitely before a week in death valley in November

I hear that. I've heard a lot of ugly stories about California and Jerry cans not being legal for carry anymore round these parts.

Land of duh freedumb and all, yknow?

I may be coming to big bear. Lindsay and I just moved into our new apartment so we might be too busy. We will see though.

Look on rotopax's website every now and then. They have a blemished section that is way cheaper. Who cares if the cans have a scratch?

Yeah I kinda forgot all my antenna stuff. It's been 4 years I had this one. I can remember it was a pretty good antenna for the price. It still works good if I epoxy the shit out of it. The learning curve is stupid for ham. I need info for a guy that is just kinda into it. I'd just like to put the 2m in place on my wilson that I never use.

Well basically I'm just a gear head taking a swing at off roading lol. I've built muscle cars my whole life so it's just a little different. The truth is I don't know what I want. I know I don't want a pure rock crawler. I basically want my truck to be fun and be able to do the low/mid difficulty stuff. I want rock sliders, front and rear tubular bumpers, skid plates, locking rear end, and eventually I'm going to do an ls swap. The idea in my head was I would put it together piece by piece so I can still drive it for work.

I just asked a lot of people and it seemed that going with this locker gear change was really my only want to get out there and be able to hang.

Word. I've seen the blemished pax but the better deal is still on Amazon providing they're authentic. Hope you make it out to bb, man. Moving blows but congrats on the new spot. Time to get settled on in.

Seriously. And the resources available are terrible. CB (granted it's stupid easy) I picked up in a matter of minutes.

There's a HAM shop in colton - I believe it's colton. I know it's the IE off the 10. They also do installs.

You can hang with alot of stuff with an open diff. I've done all of anza stock with an open different just can't underestimate you or your truck. Also if your not sure how to properly use your locker you could destroy it or get yourself stuck even worse. Just my .02 I think regearing and locker should come with bigger tires. Bumpers aren't a huge necessity right out the gate. Work on getting sliders, bigger tires, suspension, skids. Then move on to the full armor side of things. Take a look at other people builds and find out what you do and don't like in them and custom make your truck to what you like for your form of use

I have the stock shocks from my 2016 Sport removed after 200 miles. I used the coils but you can have the shocks for $50.00. I'm down here in SD.
