Figured I'd link it here since several of us regulars on this thread were at the Big Bear meet this past weekend.

During the first run on Skyline I developed some gnarly clunking and a heavy grinding sound anytime I go over a rock or dip/rut in the dirt...the clunking and popping seems to be coming from the wheels especially when I'm turning so I'm concerned it may be the LBJ's going out (my #1 truck fear lol). Or maybe the LCA bushings. The deep grinding sound feels like something big and heavy is shifting directly underneath me, thinking it might be a separate issue like a motor/trans mount but it may be related to the clunking. Hopefully know more tomorrow...

At least we fixed my driver's side Hella light while we were out there! (loosely connected ground)

These issues aside, my truck still got me through Gold Mountain later that day and despite the issues I will say this, she's never left me stranded Might be time to take it easy for awhile though lol.

Stock for now. I'm buying new fox front coilovers, then in 2 months and buy the locker and get bigger tires. After pricing everything out I found I couldn't afford to buy it all at once so I gotta buy the parts every 2 months or so

 

I'm down assuming I can get my truck fixed before then and it doesn't cost me my savings account, taking it in tomorrow
