Steel skids is what I suggest. Tacoma does come with a gas skid for the off road but its flimsy plastic. That would be the last skid I would buy unless you get a great deal on a bundle. You'll hit other components before the gas tank on a Tacoma. And you won't ever use the gas skid as a pivot

What's interesting is you paying premium for aluminum skids which is silly considering how hard you wheel. You did Megal Pass 3 times. Once at night. I did gold mountain Sunday night by myself. Open open. That means shit because its all about the driver experience. I've done jacoby from south to north in reverse. It all means nothing. You're all my friends. Lets just leave the dick swinging for the jeep forums

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Steel holds shape better and is cheaper/easier to repair but steel can be about an 1/8" thinner and get the same level of strength.

Most aluminum plate you see is thicker for the same raw strength with weight gains. Just remember you MIG on aluminum is a bitch compared to steel repairs.

    Check Build thread
Missed a lot of topics as usual but..

Steel skids ftw unless you basically are a mall crawler.. or a taco on a diet :D

You want the lightest coil # that will give you the desired ride height you want without running into coil bind. So a #600 coil with 2inches of preload will ride "smoother" than a #650 coil with virtually no preload

    I wanna go wheeling :annoyed:

In all honesty, and you know, Legal pass was about as difficult, actually less difficult than burns canyon in big bear. And @Dangerousd1987 hit it with me open open.

Smart man. I would have never paid for powder cause rattle game is legit out of rustoleum

    I agree.
