    Lol. Mine did this. Had it mounted on the bumper with screws on the top and went thru a watercrossing fast and it just got mangled

    gotta run them front plates. I've been popped for it before. Same thing with tinted front windows in CA, just a matter of time before a cop uses it as a reason to pull you over. I got away with it for a few years until one day I didn't lol. Had to remove the tint (and it was a light tint) and put my front plate back on, and prove it to a judge in court. I can't remember what the fine was but it was cheap for a 1st offense (side note: Pasadena doesn't play around and if you get a traffic ticket here, you have to show up to court for it. Don't get pulled over in Pasadena).

    also self-tapping screws worked well for me to attach my rear license plate to the custom steel bumper I had made.
