Yea he definitely knows the limitations. We ran burns until the Baldwin road cutoff then hopped on 3n03 I believe and was super easy. I remember seeing some pics of burns floating around on here of a fun little spot so now I'm thinking that was further down burns which we didn't get too. Little John Bull should also be good is what I'm hearing

That's what I'm afraid of lol. We did Half Dome last year in one day (climbed to the top using those janky cables), 22 miles all in one day. I survived but wanted to die afterward lol. This time were hiking tomorrow to the base camp then summiting on Sunday, then camping at base camp Sun night and hiking the rest of the way back Monday morning. So hopefully we'll be splitting it up enough to make it bearable. Also planning on summiting before noon on Sunday to avoid thunderstorms. Did you experience altitude sickness at all? That's my biggest fear to be honest...we're taking Diamox though to help prevent it.

I put in my two week notice at work today.

Wasn't looking for a new gig but one popped up unexpectedly and is a huge bump in pay.

Downside is I will be driving to DTLA everyday.

Upside is my office has a nice view.

Damn, that sounds intense...I can deal with feeling drunk (almost sounds like fun) but the nausea is what I really want to avoid. We've got a lot of water and a couple of those fancy water filter pumps so hopefully we'll be good. My dad is as serious about hiking and accessories as most of us in here are about Tacomas and 4x4'ing lol. I'm pretty sure REI execs pay their bonuses from all his purchases

Yeah...I've been a little loose with my 'no more smoking' rule the past month or so, so this should be interesting lol.

My Whitney is just to the left out of frame of this picture taken today around 6:40pm. Be careful of those thunder and lightning storms. Saw some strikes hitting the mountains today around 4pm up by mammoth. For sure total ground strikes with a brilliant bolt of lightning. Looks like the thunderstorms are starting to brew up over the High Sierras starting around 2pm lately. Good luck with that hike! Post some pics.
