Ever since Yamaha came out with these I have a hard time getting the motivation to wrench on the prerunner.

Single reason my taco will remain a mall crawler. Done a prerunner, done a crawler and mudder, over the maintainence. Sxs foooor liiiife haha just start it and go anywhere!

Does the Tacoma tow it pretty well or you wish you had a slightly larger truck? Largest thing I've ever towed was jetskis

No issues. The only thing it could use is either trailer brakes or better brakes, and itll probably get upgraded regardless next year anyways. But 3k behind it up any hill is no issue, might drop to 3rd gear to find power, but for the most part its great. On my obd2 scanner i clocked 20mpg towing this same load out to the joshua tree meet a few months ago. No complaints there lol

Yea i was blown away. Weird cuz the taco meet at pismo last year i got like 9mpg but i was also towing waaaay more and we were kinda moving good lol

The sweet spot is letting her purr at 2k rpms or so and she'll just sip fuel. Ive also notices cruise control is a little aggressive in its speed monitoring, the San Francisco trip i never used it and we did VERY well, i posted a screen shot a bunch of pages back of the read outs

    Just a example of a 3/4 d-ring shackle on a Pelfrey standard rear bumper.Obviously a lot of play.o_O

Question being is a 1/2 in.shackle the way to go!:confused:Or use the alternatives of spacers.

@Mike likes Tacos Mike what shackles are you running!?Forgot to ask you last week at Danny's since we both have the same Pelfrey rear bumper.IMG_5441.jpg

I got Smitty bilt 3/4 shackles. They fit tight. Shouldn't be crooked like that. I'll take a look at mine when I get my truck back later today.

Hi Ron! You can have two of these that might minimize the gap! If you want to give it a shot . I can bring it to San G. next month.
