Yeah but that's negated by the fact that you have gears and lockers... so it's fine.

Question for you ladies and gents, I'm looking into pulling the trigger on a rear suspension setup now (figure I'm on a roll, why stop here...) but I do need to keep it more budget minded this time. The King setup for 1st gens is a 2.5 shock body with resis for ~$800....more than I can really spend right now. However the Icon setup is tempting....they're 2.0 shock bodies and have the remote resi for $530.

I know Kings and Icons are valved differently so would that end up being too funky of a setup to run (progressive fronts and digressive rears)? I don't want to end up with a weird feeling ride just to save a couple hundred bucks, if that's the case I'll save up for the Kings. Or maybe look into a Fox rear setup.

I would recommend waiting and saving for the kings.

If you don't want to wait, and are worried about the Icons, you could always look into a 2.0 fox. It may be priced closer to the Icon, and would have progressive valving similar to the kings.

Not fast. Faster than I go now but high speed desert wheeling isn't my thing, I've been around TW long enough to know by now that that kind of wheeling involves a lot more than just shock upgrades. Though I am looking forward to not falling a mile behind the other guys on group runs now lol. But yeah, I'm all about the 4lo and slow (I want a t-shirt that says that btw)

I don't plan on ever pushing those 2.5 shock bodies to their limits heat-wise.

That's what I was leaning toward, tempting as the Icon deal is. The Fox's might be the way to go then.

I have icon remote resi in the rear and they feel great, but more so after putting a lot of weight in the back. Depends on what leaf pack also. Foxes are a good choice as well.

I don't care to be matchy matchy. It feels great and you can always have the icons valved differently down the line.

Ah, I wasn't aware that you had the rear Icons. That's good to know thanks!

No bumps yet, figured I see where I land (pun intended) after riding around on the new setup for awhile. I'll look into the non-resi Kings, probably around the same price as the Icon setup I imagine.

You ever get this figured out? The bar barely pulls anything and should not effect the battery at all or even alternator. Hook that light back up cause it's not the issue. Unless you accidentally grounded something out.

After you disconnect the batery the truck basically is reset and the electronics have to learn again but it'll fix itself by learning.

Don't forget to swap the stub shaft in the front diff over to the new one, common mistake (what I did) derp. Pretty sure your front diff has it also

Haven't had time ended up working overtime. Get off in about an hour and was going to try hooking it back up. The bar had a red and black wire with the metal rings on the ends do I ground the negative wire (black) or put it on my negative terminal? Also the relay had a metal bracket is that to simply attach it somewhere to look clean or to ground it

Ground the black wire with terminal somewhere on the truck. The relay shouldnt need to be grounded, the metal may be there to be more sturdy?
