You can put the black wire anywhere you want that grounds it out. On a external fuse block, negative battery terminal, frame etc. easiest is probably negative battery terminal since I'm assuming you don't have a bunch of stuff hooked up to it.

Yep you have it. Remove it from the diff you have now and hit into the new ecgs diff or you won't have 4x4. And you'll have to take it back out and hit it in like I had to do, not fun.

What's your guys opinions on a smooth body shock vs a bypass.... the TC kit I bought for the rear calls for a 2.0 x10" shock .... should I take advantage of that and go with a bypass? Or a smooth body with a resi. The websites I've seen who carries them says they tune the shocks for you.

What would you suggest on the tubes? Can you choose witch way the bypass will face ? They have a piggyback and a hose resi don't they? I'll already have to run 1.25 wheel spacers for the kit

If it requires a 2.0, do not waste money on a bypass haha. Just get a 2.0 x 10 King from DSM and you will be plenty happy. No reason to get something you don't need. You're not gonna be eating whoops with a 2.0 shock, so the on demand tune-ability a bypass provides will not benefit you in any way.

thanks guys! That makes it a lot easier. And saves me some $. I was kinda bummed the kit only allowed a 2.0 I don't understand why a 2.5 wouldn't fit. It requires you to run 1.25 wheel spacers.... but idk. I'm mainly flying through the desert don't do much if any crawling.

Sooo I changed out my rear diff fluid a couple weeks back when I did my trans. Walked out to my truck at work to have a smoke break a half hour ago and saw that the spot I parked in yesterday had a small oil stain right where my rear diff would've been. Looked under my truck and sure enough, there are a couple drops of gear oil on the drain plug, checked it and it was loose enough to remove by hand :annoyed: I tightened the hell out of that fucker back when I did the change. Fortunately I carry a quart of 75w90 under the back seat in case I ever need it when I'm wheeling. Only took a few squirts to top it off but I'm going to drain/fill it tonight when I get home just to be sure there aren't any big metal shavings/chunks indicating damage.

That cigarette probably saved me thousands....guess it's a sign I shouldn't quit after all

Maybe in New York, lol. American Spirits are probably the most expensive at $10 a pack.
