If you install an AAL can you still use the stock rear shocks or do you have to upgrade?

depends. I used my stock billies for a while with the wheelers 3-leaf. they were ok, but you "top" them out easily. they are pretty much at max flex with an AAL, so you have no room to flex or go over bumps without topping them out. which will ruin the seals over time, NBD if you plan to get new shocks like I did, just didn't have the money at the time, and wanted a deal on something. in the end, I ended up having to cut my stock ones off the truck anyways so it really didn't matter that I used them with the AAL.

Stock billies being the ones that came with the truck, correct? I know Dan mentioned that with the OL leaf still in that the lift would be around 2.25". The 5100 is supposed to be for up to 1.5" of lift..called wheelers and jonny said it should be fine unless im jumping the truck or doing something with enough force to pull the shock apart..which I don't plan to do.

yes, what I have is a 2012 Sport double cab LB with Billies. Love the truck!!
Just put 2.5 lift in front to level but am thinking of the 1.5 AAL for rear and then at larger wheels.
