I'm in some serious need of getting off the Mall Parking lot for fun and getting on some trails. I have no idea where else to go other than Matagorda or San Luis Pass areas. Well, I'm familiar with BVORR and some others I've read about, but have never been and I know most of those you got to have a decent group to go to play. :goingcrazy:

You know, I really want, especially after seeing pics from the last time people here went, just some things aren't working out for me that weekend. But I may have to make special exception.

I'm located in Sugar Land, I'd be down for going plus I've got a WARN Winch for when someone gets stuck (insurance) installed in my ARB. Someone get something organized!

Lets get a roster going and figure out a date. There seems to be a bigger offroad crowd over at TacomaOffRoad.com.

I have no problem driving a couple of hours for a good wheeling trip. It's finding the time, away from work, to do it. I'm hoping we will have some weekends off in March, and I can get back out.

I'm looking at getting something put together with me and a couple friends for General Sam's when it warms up, probably a one day trip on a Saturday, leave at the crack of dawn and come back later that night. I'll post up if I get anything concrete goin.

Went out to a small trail in Friendswood yesterday, no pics because it was after dark but I must say I was pretty impressed with the new 4x4 system. 4LO and go is my new nickname for this thing. I thought I would get stuck at least 3 or 4 times but no problems at all, and it was nasty real nasty since it's been raining for basically a week.

How small of a trail is it? Spring Creek was decent amount of fun but since it's closed down, all the major trails are a pretty good distance away.

Um its not exactly a legal ORV trail, I just get some special privileges because of my job, the trail is tiny, its basically some land behind a neighborhood with some paths cut through it in between detention ponds and patches of forest. In all it takes about 15 min to go end to end in 4LO so you can imagine how NOT big it is. I just had to scratch that itch since the truck hadn't seen anything but pavement since I got her. Depending on weather this weekend I'll either be in my garage putting the engine back in my Subaru or heading out to San Luis for some BBQ and trail action.
