and also my truck dosnt sound like it wants to start but it dose (barely)
im thinking altinator but i would think the battery would be dead by now any one have any other ideas?

also another problem i have is it feels like my power stearing dosnt work all the time but its ben like that for a while now and the fluid is reading its full so idk? any help with that

Hey man, i would clean all your electrical connections as far as the starting problem goes.
I had a 97 taco i burried in a mudhole once and it screwed up my power steering. take it to a service shop that can do a power steering flush which will run you about $60-$80. After the system is flushed add a bottle of Lucas Power steering treatment along with your fluid and it will do wonders. My power steering pump was almost out and the Lucas oil brought it back to life.

does it make a sound when you try to turn it on?

    like.. clickclickclickclickclcickclickclickclickclickclick

i have left my radio on while truck is off for too long before and the radio/lights/clock all still work but wouldn't start up... it takes a good bit of juice to make it turn over

but you said you tried to jump it so maybe that isn't it.

ok... i was just sayin incase because i have been in the situation where all the other electrical components in my truck were working but there wasn't quite enough juice to start up the engine

not sure what other problems there could be that happen while your truck isn't being used overnight

That means you may have had the cables reversed.

Well since it doesn't run, I'd say take the battery and alt out and go to autozone or advance auto and get both of them tested. one of the two (maybe both) test both for free, so it can't hurt.
