Sounds like we could be shooting for the 14th or 15th of March. Sweet!

For anyone wanting to go, you won't need a ton of clearance to do this little outting. Heck, I have done it with my stock worn out suspension. You will however need 4 wheel drive and good tires. Being able to get traction is important in a couple of spots. If the ground is dryer when we go, a good aggressive all terrain will get the job done. If its wet and muddy, you might want something a little more aggressive.

Yeah Im still runnin stock tires...... I want to put more aggressive tires but I want to get bigger tires. But with that I gotta put a lift on it. Which is all I do plan to do but I want to get through my warranty period so that if anything does happen to break its on them lol.

Well, while I was saving up and researching what i wanted to do to my truck, I just threw a set of 245/75r16 Mxt's on so I wouldn't have to mess with the suspension at all and it bought me a few years of good traction while I did my homework and saved up the money for my current setup.

They did great for what they were and anything really gnarly, I just let a little air out for.

So I'm curious what kind of communication equipment is commonly being used in trucks in our area.

    Are you folks using CB's?
    A frs/gmrs system?
    Or a Hamm radio setup?

Maybe your packing more than one?

Just kinda curious what's common in Southern Oregon. I'm thinking of installing some form of alternate communication in the rig since cell service sucks in the mountains here.

Does that seem to get the job done?
Who is your cell service provider?

I use Verizon. It effectively adds one bar. But if there’s zero signal, boosting zero signal from 0.6 watts to 3 watts is still zero

The 15th would work best for me. I work a graveyard on the 13th and then turn around to work a Swing on the 14th.

    Let's see who's going?

Meet next Sunday, March 15th @ 11a.m. , Rays food place in Jacksonville.

Again, this would be a short 2ish hour trip around from Forest Creek to Jacksonville Reservoir Rd. About 80% gravel maintained road and about 20% 4x4 / MRA roads (trails)

Nothing to serious but you do need 4wheel drive.

You'll be fine, it's more technical driving than anything else.

Heck, I already went up and trimmed most of the limbs out of the way so there won't even be much pin striping going on lol
