I'm thinking about buying a set of the FJ wheels. Are any spacers needed for them to fit properly?

No. None at all. Direct fit but they will stick out more than the factory wheels anywhere from 0.5 to 1.0 inch depending on your current factory wheel. FJ steel & Alloy wheels have the same specs. I'm thinking of getting the black OEM steel wheels, chrome trim rings, (yes, I like chrome), & the Tacoma center caps that come on the 16" steel wheels which I happen to have.

^^ I can get you some pics later today, but truck is really dirty. Mine are also powdercoated black.

These stick out a bit more than Tacoma TRD wheels, they are about flush with the fender flares. Imo that is how the Tacoma's should have been shipped from the factory.

    1. I wouldnt worry about how clean your truck is, I have washed mine 3 or 4 times since I bought mine,,, in 2008.

    2. I agree, this is the size that should have come from the factory.

    3. I am pissed, there was a set of these on my local craigslist for weeks and I didn't have the cash for them at the time.

Yeah, it is snowing and melting every few days, so it is a waste of money to try to keep this thing clean right now.

I was lucky, a guy posted his on local classifieds less than an hour before I noticed, so there were in the bed of my truck right after work. Paid $450 for all 4 already powdercoated with matching center caps and almost worn mud terrains still mounted. Came from a nice yellow FJ, build in progress. :D

Keep looking, something will come up. GL.

I will get some pics as promised.
