I have a question for you smart people. I've searched and searched can't find a thing. I hope I am in the correct forum too.

So I just put on my new wheels 18x9 Konig BFD's with 295/65/18 duratracs...which are awesome by the way. I also added a set of spidertrax (1.25).

My back wheels ....if my measurements are correct stick out approximately 3 1/2 inches out of the fender

    My fronts....about 2 1/2.

Even if my measurements are a bit off its obvious the backs stick out a bit farther....can anyone tell me why?

    Thanks,
    Juan

With a basic coilover/shock style lift, (no long travel, spindle lift etc.) the distance between the wheels is reduced due to the geometry of the front suspension. As the control arms angle down more, the spindles/hubs swing under the truck slightly. Plus, prerunners and 4x4s are .4" wider in the back from factory.

Thanks bro, it makes perfect sense to me as I visualize that in my head. So if I'm approximately 1 to 1 1/2 wider in the back with spidertrax (1.25) all the way around, if I remove the rears how much will it tuck them back in? I know itl be much less than 1.25

Well you will lose the 1.25 on each side. Your overall rear width will be 2.5" less than what it is now. I only ran spacers in the front when I had stock wheels for that exact reason. I didn't want the rear to be wider.

I will probably take the rears off to see what it looks like. It should then pretty much bring it all back to even all the way around.

So I see how you explained to me in your first post the rear end being 4 inches wider, Are all the stock wheels the same BS.offset?

Does doing the lift bring in the front suspension 3 to 4 inches...or more?

I had an 08 that I put a pro comp stage one lift on also having spider trax put on and I do not recall the back wheels being wider than the fronts...

Thanks for your explanations....just trying to learn

    Thanks again,
    Juan

I said that stock is 0.4" wider. Thats four tenths of one inch, not four full inches. The lift only brings the wheels in maybe 1/2 inch on each side. Do some searches on wheels. Plenty of posts. I would pull the spacers off of the back too.
