I am looking for some help. I recently got my Tacoma. I am wanting to get wheels and tires but I am wanting to go a little wider but not any higher. What size wheels and tires should I go with?

I'll make it easy for you...........17" TRD Pro wheels with 265/70/17 no rubbing stock suspension. Might want to use the search button this is discussed in numerous threads.

if you want to stay with a stock tire height then stay with 265/65 on 17's. 265/70 will gain you a bit of diameter and raise your truck half that number. but you can do either w/o mods.

Raising a little bit from tire size wouldn't bother me I just don't want to lift. How wide can I go? I would like to be outside the fenders by an inch or 2.
    Thanks for the feedback.

Get some toytec 1/2" top plate spacers put in. Get yourself some 8" wide wheels and be happy with 265/70 17" tires.

you'll need a cab mount chop if you go wider.

If all you want is wheels sticking out why not just go with spacers?

Would I have to chop if I go with a 1/2 inch spacer?

    possibly depending on wheel offset.
You'd likely rub at full lock whether you go with spacers or a 285
