wheels or tires first?

    this spring/early summer i am looking into getting either new wheels or tires, but i can't afford to get both at the same time, and seeing both would be similar priced bought alone i am stuck. I was looking into the pro comp 7089's or a wheel that is similar to it and i was planning on staying with a 16 in wheel and i know the look of the new wheel would look great. But on the other hand i hate how small my tires look, especially since i have the 5100's in the front set at 2.5" and i never upgraded tires, would prob get 285/75 r16's

    don't know what to do lol

    i know i'll save money if i went with a wheel-tire package, but i know this summer i just won't have enough to throw down on both since i'll be moving into a new apartment in august for school and that will be taking a big chunk of summer work money haha

    Do the tires then, you will have to pay to have them mounted, dismounted and mounted again if you go this route though.

    o yea i figured that....but i have the 5100's at 2.5" in the front so do you guys think if i went with 285/75's i would be ok with no rubbing or any issues?

    also would the tires stick out a little even with the stock rim?

    I would get the wheels first. 285s on the stock wheel it's going to be a tight fit and may require spacers. Get a wheel with 4.5" bs and you'll be good to go when you get the tires.
