Well when you actually wheel your truck and rub up hard against rock, you're going to scratch your wheels. There's nothing wrong with OEM wheels.

Yes. Correct. And I’ve scratched all of my wheels on every truck I’ve had from CA to NY. They are wheels on an off road truck. Use them.

    Suggestions, sir.

I should add, this would be my first lifted truck. My brother had owned 4 tacos until he succomb to the Ford Raptor fever. (R.I.P.). So choosing is hard for a newb.

I struggled with 18's and 20's for a while until I laid eyes on one with 20's. I like a little more wheel than tire.

Did you not read my original post at all? I said why spend $800 or more on wheels that are going to get scratched and gouged? I don't see the point in wasting money on something cosmetic like that to only beat them up. I don't have an issue scratching my truck up as you can see by my picture

Because. You can spend money on badass wheels, and USE them. You don’t need to run stock if you don’t want to. You can run any wheel you want, a person just has to sack up and stop being afraid to scratch their stuff. You don’t see the point. When you were in little league did you buy a shitty bat because you didn’t wanna scuff up your good one? Come on.

This was my reasoning for opting on a 2wd vs 4wd. If I wanna go hard core off road, I'll buy a can-am for 10k vs ruining my 35k truck because I see a muddy trail down the highway and say "I can hit that"...

Wheels are purely aesthetics. The only reason to buy aftermarket wheels is because they "look cool" I'll keep my OEM wheels and beat the hell out of them and when I need a new one I'll get one for less than a hundred bucks. Not gonna pay more for something thats gonna get beat up when what I have works great.

Ahhh I see, I mis interpreted your original statement. Yes I agree. Good wheels bad wheels, they're made to be used.

Alright, then we will both be on the trails, scuffing our stuff up.

I’ll just look better doing it
