LOL I just got that evap CEL yesterday. I was suspicious, because I've owned the jeep for several months now and the check engine light hadn't come on. I was concerned I had purchased a fake jeep or something.

I cleared the code and am ignoring it, as is tradition.

Would the purchase come with assumption of debt?

Also, are you gonna want the 5 shares left in my account as well?

LOL. Good luck with that. It's still EXMKT so you can't buy it. Only sell it. There's still multiple active lawsuits. MULN on the other hand? Get some of that shit. lol

TSLA is at risk of losing carbon credits it sells to other companies. Which is more than the profit they make from selling cars.

If they outsourced the manufacture of carbon credits to China and used child labor to make them at 1/10th the cost could they still profit? Or would tariffs screw that up?

Nintendo needs another proper gaming console. None of this handheld nonsense. The Wii was a good effort, but short lived.

Nintendo is sticking an axe in their own head with the way the new switch is encrypted and locked to only work their way.
The pushback from the community is huge

    Yeah.
I have a hand-me-up Switch from my daughter that I run in a dock and use a normal controller, so it's pretty much like other consoles when used that way. I've never used it as a handheld. Maybe someday I'll get a hand-me-up Switch 2.

So the game is no longer a game
It’s a license and you are required to be online and current firmware/software to use your device.
And any modding bricks the device permanently.
    Nintendo also stated
You don’t own the switch or the games
    You own your license

    kinda defeats owning it tbh
I like mine for camping/ plane flights and long drives
All of which encounter zero internet

Ladies and gentlemen. I've followed this thread for several years now. Occasion posting just to add my $0.02.
Now I have question. A finical question to ask on a truck forum. Wise for sure! But some of you guys seem fairly knowledgeable.

I am 60 and ready to retire. I have 2 Pre tax 401K's I plan on rolling into 1 IRA. These 401's I have managed the decisions within the limits of options for about 25 years now.
Always picking the best mutual funds based returns, expense ratio, and inception date.
The funds always ended up being S&P Index fund or Large Cap Growth with 20+ years of history. Expense ratio's sometimes were higher on the Large Cap but the returns were worth it.
I am thinking of hiring a financial advisor. Fiduciary CFP is a must. I have talked with 4 of the largest financial firms, with fees from 0.3%, 0.05% 1.0% and 1.25%.
The 1.25% wants to pick all individual stocks, that is there way. I do not like this. I like ETF's and Mutual funds.
The other 3 will gladly put me in mutual funds and EFT's. With the 1% taken out of the picture the other 2, 0.03% and 0.05% plus expense ratio. So easily a Fiduciary CFP all in for around 0.5%-0.6%.
Here's the problem with what I am hearing from both. They have to work within their company guidelines. Their guidelines are too conservative for me.
0.5% the most aggressive they will allow me is 70% stocks "VOO" 30% bonds 'BND" As you can see below. Why would anyone do this?. Yes, in the dips you drop 15% instead of 20%.
I think they do this to calm the masses during down markets. I didn't budge in 2008-2009, 2020 or in 2022. I sure am not got to jump off a a cliff over 5% difference.
    upload_2025-6-8_16-35-10.png

0.3% the most aggressive they will allow is 65-35. 65% stock and 35% bonds. And in the stock they want international stock exposure.
We didn't discuss the bond funds, but the the stock suggestion was VOO and VT. They said this philosophy helps smooth things out when US stocks drop like in April of this year.
This is true to a point. But does one really want to do this, based on long term results?

    upload_2025-6-8_16-49-13.pngupload_2025-6-8_16-50-20.png

So here is my question. They are the experts. Should I listen to them and pay the small fees?
Or should I just manage my own IRA?
If I did it would look something like this.
Vanguard IRA with the only fees being the expense ratios. (fees based on what Vanguard had told me)
I can set up monthly distributions myself with taxes withheld.
IRA would be 1 of 2 ways. 90% stocks, 60% VUG 0.04% ER and 30% VOO 0.03 ER. With 10% in a high yield savings 4.5% +or- for a down market. "2 bucket method"
Rebalancing buckets a needed and as market conditions allow.
Or all 100% stocks as I have been for over 20 years. It would probably look like 70% VUG 0.04% ER and 30% VOO 0.03 ER. The VOO just to add little more diversity
169 holdings in VUG vs. 504 in VOO. And help smooth out the ride a tiny bit. I have thought of adding in a high dividend stock like SCHD. But when I look at the numbers, they don't make sense compared to VUG and VOO.
Any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated.

You’re clearly well versed enough in markets to manage your own funds in my opinion. Those fee’s add up big time, if you didn’t have a clue about stocks and etf’s and mutual funds and have just been investing in your companies 401k for 40 years and haven’t looked any further into it than that. Then would say get a advisor, and my thoughts of SCHD is it’s a great diversification if you are tech heavy, generally follows the S&P and gives a 4% dividend yield with fantastic dividend growth rate. I am a big proponent of SCHD.
