Personally I think the colors suck but a lot of this belongs to the feds even if the color is the same some thing in the chemistry changes year to year I guess it was just easier to change the color this time.

Nice evolution from five versions of gray. Dark gray, light gray, silver gray, metallic smoky gray, and a gray that looks like the other grays but they swear is completely different. If you can't decide, then you could get black or white.

I noticed it probably 2010 or somewhere around there with one of the scions. I love the colors. Not sure if they are really pastels or if manufacturers just stopped adding so much metallic and flake to paint. I remember the VW Jetta Wolfsburg was like the first silver car I saw in the early 90's, then everything became a sea of silver and beige.

Im more concerned why toyota thinks we need 7 shades of gray and only 3 colors.

That's a Charleston, SC Battery starter kit. Verdigris Green accents on your historical home and Verde Pallido or Verde Medio Ferrari. Speaking of pastel Ferraris... listen to the exhaust note of this 250 GTO after fueling up in Carmel, CA. Sexy.

    This makes no sense.

    Anyway....

I like the pastels. Seems many others do to. It's good to get some variety. I don't want just fire engine red or voodoo blue as an alternative to the monochrome colours either. Some people like some stuff some don't.

I also think that we're finally getting past pastels being "pansy" "gay" "girly" or whatever. That colours are just colours.

There used to be a ton of colours available until we got boring and the manufacturers did as well. Here's a Ford truck palette from 1975:

    what makes no sense ?

White stays cooler in summer and I run a landscaping company. White also hides water spots and dust /general dirt and road salt allot easier than darker colors. Yea. Mud show up but not mudding with my vehicles much. Plus white is easy to color match and touch up.

can see the light pastel colors sharing some of these benefits except color match

How do you like it? Im considering one of these as a DD/delivery beater instead of another corolla.

I was referring to the person that said the "feds" are the ones responsible for the trend of pastels.

I'd like to start a petition to categorize electric colors like hot pink as "dope as f*ck" while we're at it.

You couldn’t pay me enough to wear a leather shoulder holster for a .45 over a wife beater. In Miami. In the summer.

    Ha. No worries.

My Lunar Rock is awesome for hiding the gravel dust around here.

We love it, the leather or whatever it is is warm and comfortable for long drives. The steering wheel and seats are heated, the cruise control drives itself, mostly, the turbo engine is got some power and we get 26 highway, 22 city. we live at 7000 feet so its less than most will get at lower elevation. Honestly I can't think of anything we don't like. Just remember its a utility vehicle not a full size, but it will pull 5000lb across the country just fine, with a slight hit in MPG's, Like 12 lol

A little something every chance we get.
Pink is still reserved. So you know that it is either an old Playboy Bunny, or Mary Kay. Or both....

I have the midnight black and it looks awesome and I simultaneously hate it. Didn’t want black, but the price was right. Looks cool, but is a pain. You just have to go numb about scratches and swirls.
