My 2020 doesn’t have it. It’s all switches and knobs and stuff I’m too lazy to learn about in the owners manual.:bananadead:

I went to throw my change in the cubby, but it wasn’t there on my 22.

The 2016 trucks didn’t have the power rear slider, just the cargo light, power inverter button and clutch cancel (if any/all equipped).

2017 has the relief for the rear window and then like you said 2018-2019 has the additional switch blank. I converted my 2016 to a 2018-9 to gain an extra blank for my amplifier control knob to try and give a pseudo-OEM look. Like many on her I replaced the cubby with a switch holder.

My before and after with part numbers.

Also, no "coin" stash either. My previous Subaru you could buy an aftermarket cubby and put it where a fuse box was just left of the steering wheel. Made a nice little cubby for change.

Which reminds me... when I traded it in, I forgot to get my spare change outta that cubby.

    Damn.

I put my wallet in there once. It took me like an hour to remember where I put it. Searched everywhere, never again

And, if you remove the switch panel to re-make the cubby...you have no place for the missile launcher switch!!

Mine holds a Chapstick tube. No clue where I would put it otherwise.

My 2019 OR has it. Perfect spot for my work access badge. I miss it when I take a different car to work.

Toyota does not anticipate anyone buying a Tacoma after 2020 will be needing a wallet anymore.

It’s a garage door opener holder for 2017, since Toyota was too cheap to have programmable buttons for garage doors. Do tacos at least have that now?

My 2020 Pro has 3 buttons for garage door openers on the underside of the rearview mirror.

You would have to have a VERY TINY wallet to fit in that small space. It is a very handy place for your garage door opener.
