Anybody got the scoop when dealerships might begin to get in the 2021s on their lots?

The only thing I know from my local dealership is that they were able to put in an "order/allocation" for a 2021 but did not have pricing and could only give me a rough time table of 90-120 days.

Doubt anyone would really know just yet, but as you guys hear things feel free to post here! Thanks!

About now is usual time. But with Covid it could be delayed.

Multiple sources, including my own local regional manager said first allocations are already scheduled for 1st-2nd week of October. Production should be shifting mid Sept from 2020-2021 MY.

He showed me the allocations right there in the computer. Maybe different for your region, but not by much. I would reach out and start the allocation process.

I have an alert set for 21 Tundra and 21 4Runner on Autotrader since those were announced first.
Also both are live to configure on Toyota's site.
So far only 4 Tundras in LA area.
We should see 2021 Tacoma on the site soon...

We are getting a new tacoma TRD sport premium DCLB. They can get us a 2020 mid-September but can wait for the 21s. Is there a good reason to wait? While they couldn't give the cost difference, it sounds small.

Depends, 2021's will have auto dual a/c standard now with all V6 models and remote connect now standard, so if you weren't opting for the premium packages you'll save if you wait, otherwise there's no point unless you want army green.

I think most makers will start their 2021 MYs early. Who the hell wants to own anything that reminds them of 2020?

In my current search, I’ve been told a few things from several dealers. Supposedly the production of 20s has stopped and the factories have started scheduling 21 orders. One dealer told me they’d customize a future order for me that they had in the system but it would be a 21. They also said it would take 2-3 months, so I’m guess Nov/Dec is when you’ll start seeing em on the lots.

Probably 2-3 months for your special allocation, not for 2021s to show up. Allocations for 2021s here in the Midwest are already showing a delivery first week of October. It doesn’t take 2 months for a retool of the line for 21s and for production to delivery more like weeks. 2021s will be here early October.

Looks like 2020's are still being built as I have an order in for a 2020 Taco with a build date of 9/5/2020. I saw somewhere that 2021's will start being built during the 2nd week of September.

So - I'm new to this group. I currently own a 2017 that I want to max out my trade in on and order a 2021. Supposedly there is a truck that my dealer (a dealer) has on order that they could change the spec for me, etc. etc. and it would be built as a 2021. But no pricing. Is this the situation around the country? I'm in Boston area and it's driving me nuts. Not sure if I'm getting straight answers from my dealer or not (as I trust all car dealers to always tell me the truth) and I feel like I'm being a pain begging these guys to get me a price. Has Toyota really not come to market with pricing yet? I have alternative transportation so lead time isn't an issue. I just want a 2021 truck. (for reasons noted above) Thoughts? and Thanks.
