When do I start noticing the issues with a 2021 TRD off road?

I drive like an old man, so it really hasn't been an issue for me. Mine has been perfect. I am still going to sell it later this week, though. Don't need it right now, and I will actually make a little money back, since my loan is a 0% interest. I need the money more than the truck right now.

OP, there's a direct correlation between the amount of time you spend on TW and the number of issues you'll find with your truck. No truck is perfect, but a lot of the complaints come down to having realistic expectations for the vehicle. Just drive the vehicle and enjoy it. Don't go looking for issues because people on TW say they are there. I have no issues with my 2020 and it honestly drives better now than when I first picked it up. Now if you go and lift it and put 285 E load tires on there, that could change things lol.

Also, I had an 08 TRD OR 2wd and it was a great truck. I was surprised at the places a 2wd with a locker would go. It may be an unorthodox choice on TW, but it's actually a good fit for a lot of people. Enjoy the new truck!

My 2021 TRD OR works fine on the highway. Cruise has some downshifting for sure when approaching hills. My Camry does the same thing on cruise. Drive without the cruise and both work fine. With 2wd, your vehicle weight will be lower, so the v6 ECU may work better with the less weight.

My 2019 has still yet to develop this gear hunting. I'm patiently waiting and starting to feel left out.

Imagine complaining that a truck shifts down on an incline while in cruise control.

When the new vehicle smell wears off.

When gas hits $5 and you realize an econobox and small trailer are all the truck you need.

Or in 2-3 years when something shinier and newer catches your eye.

How long is your attention span? :D
