I had the Toyota salesman tell me this week when I bought my new Camry TRD, that Toyota engines were designed to run on 87 octane and that is what should be used. I have used 87 octane on my Taco Pro, FJ and now the Camry TRD with no issues.

    1. Before I bought the truck. Had a few things collecting dust in the garage ready to be installed. Bed mat, tail gate letters and pro grill. Oh and its first oil change contents. Including a fumoto valve

    2. 87. Never bothered with the other stuff

1.) Depends on your use. Don't worry about the warranty, it won't be voided or denied unless the part directly contributed to whatever failed. Obviously Toyota won'y warranty mods unless they install them. I've already had the dealer perform warranty work despite them initially telling me they couldn't. They will initially balk but as long as you speak with them politely and know your stuff it's not too much of an issue.

    2.) Whatever is the cheapest

I vote for using the truck for a while to direct your spending. Not all of the standard Instagram mods apply to everyone’s uses. I learned a lot in my first year of ownership of this truck, mostly stock, and directed my mod-money towards things I actually needed to increase capability.

A lot of what you see online is just bloat that looks good, but doesn’t do much to improve the truck. However, if your goal is to look cool and fit in with the crowd, by all means start immediately.

I think it’s prudent to take a more measured approach, but I’m kinda a geezer, so that’s just me.

    I run 87 as per Toyota’s recommendation.
