You heard wrong. DEFINITELY not for 2014. There are no changes to the line from '13 to '14.

There will most likely never be a Diesel Tacoma in the US market.

Toyota was planning a larger Diesel for the Tundra for the 2nd Gen model. The introduction got pushed out from the first year to 2008, and market considerations killed it for 2008... and here we are 5 years later with no Diesel in the Tundra.

Ah that is true.. it take time to know OZ..so I have plenty of time .
True we stop that wood burning loco engines some time in the 1940 when diesel comes along to run the damn thing. I have been around diesel for a long time. one of the best thing to have.
the hybrid concept is still week IMO. even what Rich stated it, the hybrid may not get the touqre or the power to keep moving once stop at a stop light.. soo I am a strong supporter on diesel..

Go back to your mountain you troll.

It's extremely obvious Toyota will have absolutely no redesigns for at least two years. Look at it from their standpoint, it costs money to retool an entire factory to make a new vehicle. They just had a taste of that for the front end change. They don't want to do it again until they have a reason.

There may be a redesign for '15... that's 10 years for the 2nd Gen, and 1st Gen had 9.5 years.
Tundra just got a facelift, as did the 4-Runner, Tacoma's facelift was for '12.
1st Gen, Tacoma got a facelift in '01.

We could see a new Tacoma for 2015.

And I suspect his comment about me being bad "at this" was that I was not playing along like has been done on this and other threads.

I would say unless Chevy can offer competition and bring a diesel Toyota will not. I honestly see the Tacoma being maybe redesigned and adding a six speed automatic and the new 4runner v6 in 2015 nothing more

    weak

and hybrids are just that , hybrid , so if there was a situation where one power source could not satisfy the demand , the other takes over , that's how they work

Nope I am not stuck in the 1800.. I don't have no love for hybrid ideas.. they done the study on paper but not on truck yet.. but cars yeah for just traveling long ways or short distance.
Gotta look at the "perfect" setup base on idea tempture, weather,, road condition, etc. but realistic,, it don't meet the specs ie.. heavy foot,, way other drive etc..

    Fuck heated mirrors.
Nobody below the 45th parallel needs them, and that represents 90% of the market. They're lucky Toyota caved and gave them DRLs to meet their overlords' requirements. :p
