    Show Off comes to mind.

But I suspect we are all guilty of that (including me).

    Let me give one example:

-- Purchasing/installing my OEM LED headlights & harness from: @daveeasa

I've very proud of the new look and affect the LEDs have made on the road at night.

    Alright, another example:

-- Purchasing Bushwacker Fender Flares & having them installed by a professional shop

I'm preparing my Sport for future TRD Lift & new tires (I'm leaning towards keeping the OEM Wheels to keep the cost down)

Granted these aren't the same as what you describe Serge, because my changes aren't like yellow $500 fogs! lol

Manufacturers have done a good job of marketing them as a must-have option, when in reality the vast majority of people won't need them, either because their area doesn't get the serious weather that require fog lights, or they wouldn't be out in that weather to begin with. But for those of us who have been caught in real "pea soup" fog or a brutal storm, good fog lights can get you to your destination when you might otherwise be in serious trouble. Sadly most OEM fog lights are useless for their intended purpose; some even make things worse. And many people leave them on constantly which is bad for exactly the reason you describe - it makes people think they can "see the road better" when really all it does is train them to look at the road directly in front of them.

Great pics! Especially that first one...showing directional angle.

I see plenty of trucks here in Delaware (and cars) with fogs in my line of view in night time driving.

Lots of drivers with LEDs installed plus I've seen other funky colors like, blue.

I'm not blinded by most but some do cause me to adjust my eyes towards the right side of the road. (As opposed to looking directly at lights)

It's all about making those adjustments quickly in night driving.

    Thanks for posting these photos.

Here's my early morning photo after OEM LED Headlight install which includes fogs turned on. (Low Beam setting)

    ^^
It's an individual decision on headlights selection.

It's also an individual opinion on which headlights work best.

This thread has described lots of opinions regarding fogs.

It's good info to evaluate and decide what works for each Tacoma owner.

Mine are on as soon as the truck starts and stay on (unless the high beams are activated) until I turn the truck off.

I only turn my super bright expensive yellow fogs on when I’m on a trail behind asshole Nate, then I also continually make fart noises at him over the radio.

I tried aftermarket LED bulbs in the factory fogs. It failed miserably, but it was a good LOL.

Rarely. Off road and if foggy.

Id rather not blind people in the other direction if I dont need to. But I think compassion for others is a rare thing in this world of mega pricks. The golden rule is just for losers.

Fogs give a better side lighting. Useful to find a driveway in boonies and avoid a drainage ditch.

When I bought my 08, I almost got the metallic grey, til a friend told me he had an accident when an old couple pulled out in front of him.
They said they didn't see him in his grey truck.
Best not to have a truck the same color as the road, no matter how good it looks

If cops could get dime every time they heard the "didn't see that or wasn't me" excuse, they all would be millionaires.
