Would adding the h9 build for the dog aid in light output and lighting up the road?

I have h9 in my headlights and it seems better but curious about the fogs with h9

I live in Urban/Rural Delaware (I know I've said this repeatedly, lol) and run fog lights full time. On paved roads with no street lights, I'll turn on the high beams (fogs turn off automatically) until I get to a main road with street lights.

No need for yellow fog lights for me.

Depends on the housing. Low trims up to Sport came with plastic. If you have a glass one, it could survive H9..

Fogs turn on when the headlights turn on.

Fog or no fog, the lights provide better visibility. Running DD yellow and pointed correctly.

But you're wrong. Fog lights can be white or yellow. Driving lights are a different pattern.

    I know, right?

Stay here on this board at least a year and a half and it's very obvious.

I wasn’t mentioning then not being DOT approved for the fact you may get pulled over, I was mentioning it for the fact that they are bright as crap and generally don’t have beam projection that is suited for the road ( with traffic ). Also I mentioned it because I live in the south, in a small town where it seems it doesn’t matter what you do to your vehicle lights included you can run it. Having said that I agree, do what you want but dang it is annoying and dangerous when you can’t even look down the road because of the tool bag coming at you is running pods and light bars for driving lights. That’s my “factual opinion”. I don’t work for DOT or law enforcement, just a commoner who doesn’t like being blinded at night.

I share in this disdain. Seeing as I drive mostly on rural roads in the dark I agree that these bright ass lights are dangerous. But the stock fog lights which the OP is referring to are not going to cause this issue. I think people are confusing it with after market stuff and added ditch lights and so on

The COLOR does not define the lamp, the PATTERN does.

A fog lamp pattern is specific and can be white or yellow.

That is the point, the factory fog lamps, or any legal lamp with a fog pattern do NOT aid visibility. There is not any significant light above the cutoff to aid the regular low beams and the cutoff results in such a short effective range that it is overdriven by any moderate speed.

More than that it can limit distance vision.

Very much not recommended. The H9 lacks a glare cap on the end and isn't suitable for reflectors as it causes excessive glare to oncoming traffic

SS3 Max in selective yellow with oem led headlights here. Fogs come on when weather permits (dusty, foggy, ect). Exception is non lit back country roads were they're on all the time, but I turn them off when oncoming traffic approaches. In the city they're a little much, but in the back country not enough. That's why I bought SS3 pro selective yellow ditch lights.

Maybe, maybe not. But it absolutely can aid in others seeing you. And that's a good thing, right?

    Carry on!

It's not really a "maybe", you can measure the light that is above the cutoff and it isn't sufficient to aid visibility. Above the cutoff is maybe 1 lux at 50', that is the same as moonlight, at the hundreds of feet you need for even 50mph it's less than 1/4 of that

If 3000 lumens of low beams isn't enough fogs won't do anything
