I live in Chicago and ride a motorcycle in the summer. One of the biggest things that pisses me off is people who don't use their turn signals. Especially when they are changing lanes. Cabbies are the worst around here. they all think that they own the F***ing road. I just flip my plate up ride by and either dent a door or take out a side mirror to let them know how I feel. people focus more on texting on their phones than paying attention to the road and their driving. F**k People!

P.S. I'm trying to become a Chicago cop. I will be the citation king when it comes to no turn signal tickets. Once again, because F**k people.

Maybe the cabbies need someone to follow them and use turn signals to let everyone know when the cabbie is going to change lanes.

No joke man. I'll be riding in my lane and these A**HOLES will just swerve right in front of you with no warning. It's only inches from your steering wheel. It should be common sense.

How is it a courtesy ? If you are slowing down because the person in front of you is turning , your brake lights tell the person behind you that you are slowing down , that's all they need to know

Well , we'll just have to agree to disagree , I don't see that as a courtesy as much as confusing the issue of which driver and car intends to do what in a certain situation

I don't mind round abouts here, but I made the mistake of renting a car in northern Italy and driving there. Their round abouts are crazy. Some of them are like 6 to 8 lanes deep. Really a challenge to exit them sometimes! And then throw in a couple of really good looking Itialian ladies walking by for visual distraction and I'm lucky I'm not still in that spin cycle over there!

Because their driving faster and if there's no oncoming traffic and the dashes instead of the straight lines it's allowed.

Round a bouts are way better than sitting at a traffic light

I would REALLY love to see your basis on that one. lol. You do not have the LAW on your side, just because you think it is not necessary.

Like I was saying before OZ, I never saw it before I came down here to Alabama. Here it seems like it is pretty common practice, so I follow suit with the locals. Small town areas like around here we all have a different mentality. Courtesy is big here, and again, it is simply a courtesy. Yes, our brake lights show that we are slowing down. The turn signal indicates either us, or a vehicle in front is about to turn, so you also know if it is safe to pass, or the driver ahead might be turning left. (It is VERY common to see someone pass on the left when someone is turning right, but not everyone does it)

Just something I have seen down here. Doesn't bother me at all. I mean who cares if the car directly ahead of me is the one turning, or the car in front of him is turning? At least with a turn signal on I know SOMEONE is turning.

I think I tend to agree with this. I want to know exactly what the vehicles around me are doing and what their intentions are. Using your blinker and then not turning is just misinformation.

I make sure to use my turn signals when I cut someone off just to add insult to injury.

A govt. study done on regional roads states 1.56 accidents/million vehicles at roundabouts compared to .61 /million at lights.

Although you are 3 times more likely to be injured or die at a light than roundabout.

    You make the call.

Where I used to work we had 3 traffic circles all within a few miles of each other...I completed 100 accident reports in 2 years due to those. They would work great if people knew how to drive

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
People don't read or care that the speed limit is 15mph (which I agree with) People are flying through at the limits of adhesion (like the 24 hours of LeMans) It would be laughable if it weren't so dangerous. I don't like traffic circles.
