I’m sorry, I don’t mean to shitpost. Me and my neighbor just have a thing.

If you don’t have a relationship like that with your neighbor, I suggest you all develop one. It keeps you on your toes, keeps life spicy.

My dealer, in Canada. offered me a 7 year extended warranty for $3500Cdn. It overlaps the factory 3 year warranty so it is really just a 4 year warranty. They do offer free oil changes for the first 3 years, I think. I could be mistaken though because once I heard "$3500", I pretty much stopped listening.

I paid like $50 and had the dealer change the oil at my 5k tire rotation. Will use my two free changes at 10k & 20k.

It’s interesting the owners that are dead set on 10k mile OCI which is the outer limit of mileage for oil.

Do the same owners run their tires bald before getting new ones?

According to Blackstone, 10k miles is well within operating range of synthetic oil

Its been shown through oil analysis that 10k is more then sufficient. That is also what Toyota recommends.
With that said, I think I would follow a 7500 interval, just because oil is cheap.

There’s all kinds of oils (even with 0W20) and all different drivers. And definitely cheap when you can get 0W20 Supertech for $12/5 Qts.

On another note, it also says to “check” the trans and diff fluid levels at 60,000 miles and not specifically change them.

It's been shown there's little difference in performance between all brands of synthetic oil. And you would have to operate the vehicle under the most severe duty to warrant more frequent OCs

Same with tires, they all keep the vehicle on the road

No motor was ever ruined because the oil was changed early. Do it yourself and avoid having the dealer screw something up. They are dangerous places!

I'm at about 7k and plan on just waiting until 10k like the manual says.

You need to research Blackstone labs info and hang out on Bobistheoilguy site. You'll be surprised by difference in performance between expensive designer oils and cheap oils like Walmart SuperTech.

Anyway....these threads always end up the same way. People claiming "my oil can beat up your oil". Or "I've been doing the same OC routine for 40 years and it's worked for me". So I'm stepping out. I could gather up the popcorn. But no need. I've already seen outcome in the other 123,453,776 oil threads on TW

Oftentimes you’ll have to take the metaphorical leap in what I post.

The biggest irony with truck owners especially, is they’ll spend $10,000 on unnecessary lifts, rims and tires but attempt to shame other owners who spend more than $20 for an oil/filter change.

    Now that’s recockulous

No shaming on my part at all. Simply trying to assure people who choose to follow Toyota's recommend OCIs that they will be just fine. And, at the end of the day, the particular brand of oil they choose will have no measurable difference in wear and performane between another brand.

Do you honestly believe Toyota came up with the 10k OCI because they thought it was the best for your engine?
