When the 8.1 GM V8 had noisy belt issues they had us replaced the factory belt with Gates to solve the issue. I would use Gates belts any day. JMO.

Aside from the squealing upon startup when it's cold and wet....I also get this noise that you see in the beginning of the video (when turning the steering wheel). Is that sound from the belt, or a specific pulley?

great video, but as you can see with the GATES brand Tensioner pulley doesnt have the proper offset when bolted on as the OEM pulley and has caused quite a few belt shredding incidents with the 4.0l v6 engine since the belt will not ride properly on the center of the GATES pulley

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Just shredded my belt going down the highway this weekend. I had a brand new one in the garage at home :anonymous:. After replacing on the side of the road, the carnage bundled up behind the crank pulley and destroyed the seal. $12 part, 2 hour labor, sucks.
