I recently lifted my DCSB (OME 885s, dakars, and CB drop) and have since noticed driveline vibes between 30-40 mph. I was expecting this so I went ahead and added center pin lengtheners when installing the dakars. I know that the rear will settle a bit, and I'm waiting for my cap to arrive. Between the two, I'm guessing it may settle as much as 3/4"? Should I wait until the rear settles and the cap arrives before I mess with my driveline angles, or go ahead and move forward with shims? Or am I way off in my thinking? Thanks

Although there wasn't alot of interest the first time I posted, thought I'd add an update and hopefully generate a response. Went mountain biking with my wife this week and with my platform rack and two full suspension bikes (120 lbs), driveline vibes totally disappeared. Does this sound right? Exactly what I was hoping would happen once my cap arrived.

I say wait, especially now that a small amount of weight seems to have brought you down to the sweet spot.

It prolly will settle some more if i had to guess. If the rear end would drop just a little more sounds like you would be set without vibes. A heavy aftermarket rear bumper might just do the trick. Ha

Word. Also, I don't think my Dakars settled 1/4", let alone 3/4".

When I took my shell off (220 lbs) I didn't notice any visual change in rear height. Nor did I notice any sagging when I put it back on.

Kind of what I was thinking, just got excited when the vibes disappeared with the bikes loaded!

@OZ-T suggested a while back that he didn't really think that the Dakar pack responded (sagged) with a load until the 200 lb mark, which I agree with wholeheartedly.

Matches my experience with them perfectly, at least.

I was getting some of my info from @OZ-T posts. I'll have cap+recovery equipment+bike rack most of the time which puts me over 200 lbs. Would know already if I didn't have to return my cap!

I hope mine settles more. I have a standard rear bumper with swingout(soon to be high clearance) and a 33" spare tire (~70lbs) and my hi lift. I have driveline vibrations from 0 - 10mph. But then nothing.

Just sharing your thoughts on dakars settling. Haven't had a chance to post my measurements yet but seems slightly less than the averages you have posted in the measurements thread (DR = 24 1/4" PR = 24 3/4" with full tank of fuel).

Were your Dakars marked with a -/- ?

Nope, both were 0. I got exactly 3" on both sides. I also only got 1 3/4" up front with my 885s, although I think ARB says that's what you're supposed to get, I think. Either way, not even close to the 2.5 everyone talks about.

Your rear height is within 1/4" of the average , not too surprising with a 0/0 set as a lot of people in that thread have +/+ sets too

Got pics of your front shock / coil set up ? Any chance the coil seats are upside down ?

Here they are. Look right to me but I'm not the expert, paid @HeadStrong Off-Road for strut assembly to avoid that problem!
