When using an automatic car wash, would I have to remove the antenna?

It's probably dependent on the car wash's design. A brush roller in just the right place applying pressure in a specific direction can probably rip off the antenna. You are OK (proven enough times...).

I had an 07 with a 14" antenna x that I never took off, picked up an 11 and first car wash ripped the oem antenna off at the same place.

The place I use "almost" always removes the antenna. It just screws off. The one time they didn't, it broke off. All you had to do was back out the broken stub and screw in the new one. You could tell it had been a problem with Tacomas...the manager had 5 or 6 brand new Toyota masts in his office.

    Remove it.
I use to pay for car washing before. The last time was when my antenna broke. The local car wash places suck anyways. Always had dirty spots on the truck, guys would drop towels and continue to use them, etc.

the car wash i work at has spinning brushes and everything, never seen someone come out with a broken antenna and if they do all they have to do is fill out a paper and they'll get an oem replacement

Mine came loose after a car wash so I just took it off, never put it back on. I have an aftermarket head unit with bluetooth so I don't use the radio anymore. Spotify 100%

    Stock...for now!
I've been through one brushed car wash since I bought my Taco (12-18-2016). I noticed the antenna getting knocked around but the antenna was not phased.
